Students can now create with CreateAI

Students can now build their own AI projects, expanding beyond chatting with projects shared by faculty and staff.
AI literacy resources: New training and how-to videos are available directly in the student dashboard.

Video feedback for simulated patient interviews

Select users in ASU Health can now use a new video feedback application in CreateAI. It analyzes recorded simulated patient interviews against a rubric, highlighting strengths and areas where students can improve.

Better visibility into usage costs

Builder Analytics now shows costs broken down by Web and API usage, helping you understand where spending comes from.

More reliable project setup and model selection

Reasoning settings stay as selected: Choosing “None” no longer causes reasoning effort to default to “Medium.”
More reliable Nova 2 Lite configuration: Fixed issues that added custom instructions unexpectedly or reverted your model selection. Its description also displays correctly in Compare.
User information displays correctly: Gmail addresses added to projects no longer appear blank.
Project evaluation fixes: Resolved issues encountered when running evaluations.

Clearer, more reliable file uploads

Accurate upload status: Files added directly to a conversation no longer appear complete when their uploads are stuck.
Mixed file uploads: Fixed an error when uploading PNG and DOC files together.

Easier conversation review

Open the latest chat: Selecting a user in the User Sessions tab now opens their most recent conversation.
Copy complete conversations: Copying a chat from the conversation sidebar now includes tool messages that previously copied as blank.

Smoother chat interactions

Improved scrolling: Fixed automatic scrolling for tool-call messages.
Clearer message layout: The CreateAI Chat text field no longer overlaps earlier messages.
Text chat from avatar sessions: Starting a text conversation in an avatar session now automatically opens a new chat.
Cleaner message controls: Copy-prompt and regenerate tooltips no longer overlap on user messages.

Updated model defaults and interface improvements

Compare defaults: Updated the default models in Compare for faculty and students.
Image processing: Updated the fallback vision model used when your selected model does not support images.
More consistent quick-start cards: Standardized numbering and capitalization.
Reordered getting-started resources: Moved ethical-use cards to the end of the list for faculty and student views.
