It enables faculty and staff to develop AI-powered projects that leverage extensive knowledge bases, assess bias through the Ethical AI Engine, and access robust data for evaluation and research — all within ASU’s governed infrastructure.ChatGPT Edu complements these efforts by providing access to a leading external AI platform for data analysis and research, also in a FERPA-compliant environment. Faculty and staff can create GPTs for students to use in teaching and learning contexts.We recommend that faculty and staff design instructional and research experiences in CreateAI Builder whenever possible to maximize data transparency, security, and engagement insights. CreateAI Builder is available to all ASU faculty and staff with an ASURITE ID. Students can request sponsored access to build assistants in collaboration with a faculty or staff sponsor. All of ASU — including students, faculty, and staff — can interact with assistants built in CreateAI Builder using their ASURITE ID.To get started with CreateAI builder, sign in with your ASURITE credentials, select a template or start from scratch, upload your materials, configure how your assistant responds, and share across ASU.
You can upload course materials, policy documents, research papers, onboarding guides, and more. Your assistant uses these materials to answer questions, summarize information, or guide users through processes.
Yes. All CreateAI Builder data stays within ASU’s governed environment and is not shared externally or used to train AI models.
Yes. You can share your published assistants across courses, teams, or departments based on your permissions. You can also invite collaborators as editors or viewers to build and manage AI experiences together.
